The Waking
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I cannot go.
We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Of those so close beside me, which are you?
God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there,
And learn by going where I have to go.
Light takes the Tree, but who can tell us how?
The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair;
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Great Nature has another thing to do
To you and me; so take the lively air,
And, lovely, learn by going where to go.
This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go.

Hmmm
I seem to be doing better this time after the treatment than I did last time. I was sleepy yesterday and sort of out of it but had a massage today which helped. I really need to go every two weeks for my neck but can't afford it. If I go as long as a month, my neck is really tight and I notice some difficulty swallowing because of the scar tissue right in the front on my throat. The tightness from the fibrosis causes my shoulder to hurt, and it's beginning to have bursitis. Debbie worked on it a lot and my neck. She also inflicted pain by doing some acupressure. Fortunately it didn't last too long. She showed me how to do it. Not fun. I wonder what else can be done to soften scar tissue besides massage.
About Sisters - it's not for healthy eating. They have old-fashioned Southern cooking in all its fatness and cholesterol. It's more a comfort food thing, I guess.
