The Waking
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I cannot go.
We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Of those so close beside me, which are you?
God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there,
And learn by going where I have to go.
Light takes the Tree, but who can tell us how?
The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair;
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Great Nature has another thing to do
To you and me; so take the lively air,
And, lovely, learn by going where to go.
This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go.

Trivia Quiz
I just realized that I forgot to post the Trivia Quiz. This last week has been distracting and unsettling, but now here it is!
1. PP - Whose song "Dream a Little Dream of Me" provided the musical background of a TV commercial for Breathe Right Nasal Strips? (is nothing sacred!)
2. AE - What tongue-twisting poem by Lewis Carroll introduces a "Jubjub bird" and a "Bandersnatch"? (just taught that in class and often call Brian "my beamish boy")
3. HS - Where did Thomas Stafford and Alexei Leonov first meet in 1975?
4. SN - What is kinesiology? (take this one, Michelle)
5. SL - Which property on a Monopoly game board is spelled differently than the original Atlantic City street? (who on earth will know this? Michael?)
6. WC - What do you call a territory or a country ruled by a grand duke or a grand duchess? (what about a grand duck, Scary?)
7. MV - Lawrence Fishburne debuts alongside Martin Sheen, Harrison Ford, and Marlon Brando. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning." This Vietnam War film was inspired by the novella Heart of Darkness.
