The Waking
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I cannot go.
We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Of those so close beside me, which are you?
God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there,
And learn by going where I have to go.
Light takes the Tree, but who can tell us how?
The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair;
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
Great Nature has another thing to do
To you and me; so take the lively air,
And, lovely, learn by going where to go.
This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go.

This 'n That
When I logged on to Blogger, I read something funny. Check it out here at Blogger. There was an article in The Onion about a 30 year old guy whose mother discovered his blog. He was in a panic about what to do, so Blogger decided to have an opinion about it and gave some suggestions. This isn't a problem for me since I began this as a public way to give information about dealing with lymphoma and sent the link out to people I know, am related to, and work with; therefore, I censor some things. I know it's been a problem for some bloggers I link to, though. I've read that some people have lost jobs because of what they wrote in their blogs and others have damanged relationships. I watch Law & Order and realize the net isn't private, and our computers have all our lives we live in cyberspace on them. It's really tempting to believe this is private since we type in the comfort of our homes and have readers we think about when we post. I'm not paranoid about someone finding out my name and email address even though many people are. Big Brother is already too involved in our lives as it is, and I do think about that. However, I will continue to write what I do and be glad you are reading it.
